Relationships Education and Growing Up (REGU)

As part of the school’s Health Education programme, and in line with the London Borough of Ealing’s recommended scheme of work for Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PHSE) Education, your child will receive lessons on Keeping Safe: Relationship Education and Growing Up (REGU) in the summer term. This is now something which is statutory from September 2020.

Nowadays, there is a vast amount of, and sometimes confusing, information about relationships and growing up on the internet, on TV and in magazines, etc… which children and young people are exposed to. This can sometimes make an already confusing time seem even more complicated.

If students are provided with timely and age appropriate information about their bodies and relationships, they can make their transition into adulthood with the confidence and knowledge to understand what is happening to them, and hopefully grow into confident and healthy adults able to make positive choices.
